Colorado Classic

Race Details

The Colorado Classic, the western hemisphere’s premier women’s standalone race, will be in a different Colorado town or city for each stage of the race, and Avon is thrilled to host some of the best female road cycling professionals in the world for Stage 2.

Stage 2, the Queen Stage, is really two stages in one. The opening 35 miles on a flat 5 mile circuit for 7 laps will run off fast and technical like a criterium. Then an extra lap of 15 miles will tackle one of Colorado’s most  notorious climbs, the ridiculously steep Bachelor Gulch (fan accessible by bike or foot only). This climb through Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch to QOM on Daybreak Ridge hits grades of 14% and also features a fast, technical descent. Watch the best female climbers in the world, many in their native Colorado terrain. Stage 2 will start at 1:00 p.m.

Free public parking will be available at the Elk Lot prior to noon with egress after the race at approximately 4 p.m.
Free public parking will be available at the Bear Lot prior to noon with Westbound egress only until approximately 4 p.m.

Please walk or ride your bike.
