Holiday Lighting Permitted During Stay-at-Home Order
Avon, CO – Avon Town Manager Eric Heil issued an Order to permit holiday lighting during the Stay-at-Home Order issued by the State of Colorado. This Order is adopted to permit the suggested social practice of lighting holiday lights to lift spirits and demonstrate community solidarity during this unprecedented emergency pandemic. This Order suspends Avon Municipal Code section 15.30.040 General Outdoor Lighting Standards (3)a. which otherwise prohibits holiday lighting in all areas of Town after the closure of the Beaver Creek ski area. Holiday Lighting is still required to be turned off between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m.
