Harry A. Nottingham Park
Harry A. Nottingham Park, located at 1 Lake Street in Avon, is a beautiful place to spend a day.The park includes:
  • 48 acres of open space
  • Nottingham Lake for fishing, paddle-boating, and SUP.
  • Two (2) athletic fields which are available to rent based on availability
  • Children's playground
  • Picnic tables
  • Barbecue grills
  • Recreational paths for walking, jogging, biking as well as in-line skating
  • Three (3) tennis courts on the west end of the park
  • Two (2) basketball courts on the west end of the park
  • Two (2) pickle ball courts
  • Softball field on the west end of the park
  • Two (2) sand volleyball courts located next to the beach on the north side of the lake
  • Tennis, basketball and volleyball courts are used on a first come, first serve basis
  • The athletic fields are available to rent and field stripping is available for an additional charge
  • We have several unique areas to host your family barbeque, company picnic or childs birthday party.Please see the picnic reservation form.

H. A. Nottingham Park Pavilion
H. A. Nottingham Park Pavilion (Stage) will be a year round cultural and entertainment venue that can host festivals, concerts, art exhibitions, theater performances, educational events and private functions, year round.  It is currently under construction with an estimated completion date of December 1, 2014 in time for the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships.

The Pavilion will include:
  • A 25' x 45' performance stage large enough to accommodate a 60-piece orchestra as well as bands that typically perform at events such as WinterWonderGrass.
  • Remodeled pump house exterior for continuity with the stage
  • A new, larger deck over the lake
  • A "green room" connected to the stage with adequate space for theater performances. The green room will also serve as a small kitchen for events, which can include weddings, receptions and private gatherings.

Nottingham Lake
The Town of Avon's Nottingham Lake is the focal point of many summer and winter activities in the park. The lake serves as a backup water supply to the area and is carefully maintained by the Town of Avon. We need your help in keeping the lake clean. Please do not swim, wade or play in the lake. If the water quality is jeopardized, the Town of Avon reserves the right to close the lake to any and all recreational activities. Fishing is allowed in the summer months with the proper Colorado Fishing License. Ice skating and ice fishing is allowed in the winter months.

Parking for Nottingham Park
Parking is available at the west end of the Avon Municipal Building at 1 Lake Street, north end of the lake on West Beaver Creek Boulevard and at the Avon Recreation Center. There is no parking on Town of Avon streets.
