Transit
logo
Avon Transit is designed to make your visit to Avon, whether for work or recreation, an enjoyable and convenient experience. Our public transit system provides fare-free bus and gondola service.  Bus and gondola operations are paid for by the town's general revenue fund.

Bus Service

Avon Transit provides an average of about 500,000 passenger bus trips each! Year-round bus service is provided by the red, blue and black routes, which will get you to restaurants, lodges, parks, medical facilities, banks, and shops around Avon. Enjoy the Town of Avon Library and Recreation Center where you'll find a multitude of family activities.  Bus schedules are adjusted seasonally to work within the town's budgetary constraints.  Routes and schedules are available at the link on the left.

Winter Ski Service
Bus connections between Avon and the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek are provided for Avon guests via our Skier Shuttle route which operates during 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. throughout the full ski season.  We also operate a Restaurant Shuttle route during the peak season dates of December 17 through April 1 in the evening hours of 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

The Riverfront gondola operates during ski season from about December 18th until March 31st and connects to the lower Beaver Creek chairlift. This is a fast way to access the mountain for a world class skiing experience!

Avon Station
Avon Station is a transit hub where you may find connecting bus service via ECO Transit to Vail, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum, Minturn, Dotsero, and Leadville.
